Point, Line, Plane

01 Why did you choose a Shredded Paper as an ingredient? Explain the ingredient.
①Timeliness
The condition before the paper is shredded is back paper. Backside paper has already been used and loses its practicality in information in a short period of time It will be thrown away as trash.

②Non-recyclable
Crushed paper is very small and does not sink into the water, rises above it, is not recycled, and is discharged as residue, crushed paper is classified as general waste.

02 What is the design intention?

It is a representative kitchen furniture that best shows the cross section of Korean sedentary life. Soban is a small table used to support tableware or eat food, and unlike other households, it is a daily necessity that is widely used regardless of class. In Korea, unlike the West, cooked food must be brought to the room for meals, so soban serves s both a tray and a table to carry food.

03 What are the craft techniques used? Explain the craft technique you have chosen.

Jido Craft
There are two techniques: to complete a deformity by applying paper multiple times to make Fuji, and to apply two or three layers of paper on the inside and outside of it after making a skeleton or deformity with large or wood. However, instead of using the technique as it is, I would like to make a skeleton and attach the paper in layers.

04 Describe the Production Process of the Work.
The process was simple but time-consuming in three stages. Collect the discarded posters, grind them in a straight shredder, and organize them for a long time. After that, they were sorted by color, and the round plate's abacus showed the area in a curved shape by extending the crushed paper and rolling it in a round shape.
